Pune, Oct 6 (UNI) In the regions from where the south-west monsoon withdrawal has taken place, day temperatures were above normal in parts of west Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh and were above normal in Haryana, Uttaranchal and east Rajasthan.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, north Gujarat while normal in parts of Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and parts of west Rajasthan.
The south-west monsoon has been active in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
It has been sub-dued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, South Orissa, Vidarbha, south Chattisgarh and north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in north Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, north Chattisgarh, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar islands and at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Maianly dry weather will prevail over Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat state.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Lakshadweep.
