People will not support TDP in next elections : APCC

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today claimed that the people of the state would not like to have the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) back in power, as its nine-year rule proved to be ''inefficient''.

Addressing the press here, APCC official spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy said TDP president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had failed to improve the living stadards of poor during his regime in the state. ''People have learned that the TDP was only making promises rather than realising them,'' he said.

Alleging that the TDP was making 'false' promises during the party's meetings, he maintained that the people were not ready to accept it as a ruling party.

''Mr Naidu was the only Chief Minister, who ruled the state for more than eight years but his contribution to the state was very low as compared to other Chief Ministers of the state,'' Mr Reddy added.
