Law and order collapsing in TN: NCP

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 6: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Tamil Nadu state President Tindivanam Ramamurthy today alleged that the law and order situation in the state had deteriorated.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Ramamurthy said anti-social activities and violence are increasing day-by-day in Tamil Nadu.

He said Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar had already requested Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Communication Minister A Raja to release commemorative coins and postal stamps on freedom fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.

Mr Pawar and other national party leaders were expected to participate in Muthuramalinga Thevar Jayanthi on October 30, he said.

He accused the DMK government in Tamil Nadu of failing to take up developmental works.
