Hot weather makes the day sultry in Patna

Patna, Oct 06 (UNI) The people in Patna had a tough time fighting the hot and sultry climate today.

The maximum temperatures soared to 34 degrees Celsius while the minimum was pegged at 25.7 degrees Celsius.

The maximum relative humidity was recorded 60 per cent.

However, the Met office forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder showers in some areas during next 24 hours.

Govt considering appointing two two Addl solicitor generals : FM

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) Finance Minister P Chidambaram today said the government was considering appointing two additional Solicitor Generals, one to handle cases relating to direct taxes and the other indirect taxes, to improve the quality of government's representation in courts.
