Four killed in a road accident in Moradabad

Bareilly, Oct 6 (UNI) Four persons died on the spot and 12 others were injured when a jeep hit a stationary tempo on Moradabad-Agra highway under Kundarki police station of Moradabad district late last night.

Three of the deceased had been identified as Ved Prakash(40), Sakoor (42) and Khemchand, Inspector General of Police (IG) , Bareilly Zone Gurbachan Lal said here this morning. Injured have been admitted to hospital.

All the victims were aboard the jeep when the accident took place. Bodies have been sent to postmortem, he said.

Srinagar, Oct 6: Two soldiers and four militants-- three Pakistani infiltrators and one Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) commander-- were killed in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said. Visakhapatnam, Oct 6: All flights from Visakhapatnam airport were cancelled due to heavy rains, airport officials said today. Officials said the runways were inundated due to overnight rains and efforts were on to clear the water. The airline s, which cancelled the services, were Air Sahara, Air Deccan, Kingfisher, Paramount and Indian. The services would remain cancelled tomorrow, if the rain continued, the officials added.
