Five died,1400 suffering from diarrhoea in Bokaro

Bokaro, Oct 6 (UNI) At least five persons have died while 1408 were seriously ill after suffering from diarrhoea in Jharkhand's Bokaro district this year.

District Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mithilesh Kumar so far five died after consuming contaminated water and food.

Bermo, Chandakiyari, Petarwar, and Nawadih were the most affected areas despite the arrangements made by the district administration to prevent the disease, he said.

Dr Kumar further added that special camps were being organised in those areas for the treatment and to make people aware about hygene.

Islamabad, Oct 6: Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party abstained from voting in the presidential election today, a day after the government announced to withdraw corruption cases against the self-exiled former premier. BSF guns down Bangladeshi cattle smuggler

Basirhat, Oct 6 (UNI) The BSF, guarding the international border with Bangladesh under Swarupnagar police station, gunned down a Bangladeshi smuggler early today. Police here said the BSF opened fire on one Khaled Dalal, a Bangladeshi national, while he trying to cross the border with cattle through Tarali Mollapara. 5 wounded in clash between two groups
