Embarc launches vehicle control & track 'findnsecure' for Rs 19,99

New Delhi, Oct 6: Software firm Embarc Information Technology (P) Ltd (EIT) today launched web based 'findnsecure' for Rs 19,995 that aims to track and control vehicles through out the country and abroad.

''This software displays the current location of the vehicles with the help of Google Maps and their positions being dynamically updated as the vehicle moves,'' said EIT Managing Director Shailendra Bansal.

The cost of the software for unit vehicle is Rs 19,995 and a monthly rental of Rs 495.

The customer can stop the vehicle through his mobile or computer from anywhere in the world, Mr Bansal said.

He added that whenever there is an emergency in a chauffeur driven vehicle, the driver can press the panic button and the owner will receive an alert automatically through emails or sms.

''This software will can recover upto to 99 per cent of stolen vehicles,'' Mr Bansal said.

The customer has the option of predefining the route and if the vehicles leaves this route, an alert will be sent to the customer, he added.

The software also provide various reports like distance travelled, trips made, and overspeeding.

It also gives turn by turn directions if the sources and destination cities are entered in the 'geocoder section' of the software.

''The software is suitable for long haul trucks, buses, taxis, emergency vehicles such as police, fire, paramedics, tracking of teenagers,'' Mr Bansal said.

The company has applied for the patent. In India, Navyug Construction is using this software on the trial basis in its 50 trucks and is expected to soon place an order, said Mr Bansal.

Customers in various countries like Yemen, Nigeria, the US, the UK and Pakistan are also using this software, he added.

Palm tops for TTEs for feed on vacant berths

New Delhi, Feb 26:  Palm tops will be given to Railway Travelling Ticket Examiners(TTEs) so that they can feed to the Passenger Reservation System (PRS), the information about berths/seats falling vacant at the eleventh hour.Under the existing system, reservation charts are brought out a few hours before the departure of trains. Often due to unforeseen circumstances, several passengers with reservations do not travel, resulting in many berths remaining vacant.Since this information is not fed into the PRS.....
