Constable suspended for extortion

Guna, MP, Oct 6 (UNI) A police constable was suspended and a home guard Sainik dismissed from service for extortion from vehicle owners on the bypass road here, police said today.

The action against Constable Bhanu Pratap Gurjar and Sainik Shivraj Lodha followed inquiry into complaints against them, Superintendent of Police Yogesh Choudhary said.

The suspended constable had been attached with Guna police line.

GCC labour ministers to mull time-frame for expat workforce

Dubai, Oct 6 (UNI) The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) labour ministers will consider a proposal to define a six-year time-frame for residency of foreign workers in member states. If accepted the move will have a drastic impact on the employment of expatriates, including three million Indians in the GCC countries, the official news agency WAM said.
