Bishnoi promises to waive house tax and 'abiana'

Hisar, Oct 6 (UNI) Suspended Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of disgruntled party leader Bhajan Lal, today said they would waive house tax and 'abiana' in Haryana if they came to power in the state.

Mr Bishnoi, who had recently declared that he would launch a new party i the state, made this statement on the occasion of the birth day of his father Bhajan Lal here.

Talking to reporters here, he also announced that they would give 50-yard plots to 500 families living below the poverty line if their party came to power.

Meanwhile, Mr Bhajan Lal said they would expose the alleged failures of the Hooda government on all fronts in their December two rally in Rohtak.

To a question, he said he had not received any invitation for the 'Bijli rally' to be addressed by Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Jhajjar district tomorrow. ''Nor will I go to the rally.'' UNI

Putin makes Russian Atomic Energy Agency a state corporation

Moscow, Oct 6 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin has unexpectedly introduced a bill into the State Duma, lower house of parliament, to turn the Federal Atomic Energy Agency (Rosatom) in to a state corporation. Dumka, Oct 6 (UNI) A local court today acquitted Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi in a 12-year-old case of violation of the model code of conduct in this district. The court of First Class Magistrate S S Fatmi delivered the judgement as no witness was produced against Mr Marandi in the court.
