Basava Dala activists burnt effigy of Gowda

Bangalore, Oct 6 (UNI) Activists of Rashtriya Basava Dala today burnt effigy of former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) National President H D Deve Gowda for not honouring the promise of handing over power to coalition partner BJP in Karnataka.

They also took out a protest march from the Gandhi statue and burnt the effigy of Mr Gowda near Basaveshwara statute.

Shimla, Oct 6 (UNI) Sunil Rana of Kullu became the Raid de Himalaya champion after the rally was officially called off due to heavy snowfall on the upper reaches of Lahaul and Spiti. Meanwhile, all the rallyists returned safely back 10 Manali from Keylong. The result was declared on the basis of the completion of three legs of Raid de Himalaya.
