All India Basketball tourney from Oct 8

Kochi, Oct 6:  Leading teams from across the country will vie for honours in the second Geojit Ever Rolling Cup All India Prize Money Basketball Tournament for men and women to be held here from October 8.

District Collector and Regional Sports Centre Chairman Mohammed Hanish said the five-day championship would feature Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Southern Railway, Indian Army (Signal Regiment), MEG, South East Central Railway, Central Excise and Customs and BSNL in the men's section.

In the women's section, Central Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway and KSEB teams would partcipate.

About six teams would participate in the veterans' section, he added.

Bharathi AXA LIC launches operations in Pondy

Puducherry, Oct 6: Bharathi AXA Life Insurance Company Limited, a joint venture between Bharathi Enterprises and AXA group, today launched it's operations in Puducherry. According to a release here, Deputy Consul General of France in Puducherry Francois Stridy inaugurated the branch. GIC officers calls for survival in the open market regime

Chouhan reviews Water Resource Department activities
