Ram Setu becomes a tourist attraction


Chennai, Oct 03, 2007: The 1,700,000 year old Ram Setu, which has hogged the limelight due to the tug of war between the government and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Hindu organistions, has emerged as one of the most sought after tourist destination these days.

Even the NASA revelation on the Setu, has added to the inflow of pilgrims and tourists to the island who are eager to see this mesmerizing mythological souvenir.

Stay on demolition of Ram Setu till Sept 14: SC

New Delhi, Aug 31: The Supreme Court today stayed the demolition of the Ram Setu (Adam's Bridge) in Rameshwaram till September 14. A bench comprising Justices B N Aggarwal and P P Naolekar in the order said, '' the Ram Setu shall not be damaged in any manner. The dredging can be carried out if it does not damage the bridge. In the meantime, the Central government will file a counter affidavit. The application for an interim stay shall be considered on.....
