Now in it's sixth year INFOCOM 2007 has taken on its stride through a conference and exhibition and has been aptly christened ''Service excellence through ICT'' as its theme. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will inaugurate the exposition, which aimed to be largest high quality showcasing and networking platform in Indian bringing together thought leaders, technocrafts, policy makers, academia and industry leaders from across the globe under one roof.
Announcing the entry into Hyderabad, ABP Private Limited CEO and INFOCOM 2007 Organising Secretary, D D Purkayastha today said "it is for the first time that we are taking INFOCOM outside Kolkata.
and I am confident that this will be a powerful platform for the IT and Telecommunications industry.
This exposition has been a great success for Eastern India but being the largest national ICT event it needed to move out and Hyderabad was the obvious choice". The organisers expect a revenue of Rs 10 crore from INFOCOM 2007 up from Rs six crore earned from 250 exhibitors in 2006 at Kolkata.
In addition to Hyderabad, the event will continue to be hosted at Kolkata between February 21 to 24, next year in a similar format.
The meet was expected to bring together over 75 speakers, 1,500 delegates and over 50 Corporates. Delegates would comprise IT professionals from large enterprises, SME's public sector enterprises, senior policymakers, academia from the best technical education institutes in the region.
The conference spread over four-days comprising 30 sessions running on two parallel tracks will include sessions such as - the Theme session on Service excellence through ICT, an International Debate Motion-Outsourcing a Boon not as Bane and International Satellite Communication Conference organised by Hannover Fairs USA and others. There will also be forums focusing on ITES-BPO, Global ICT, Business Continuity and Data Security, Infrastructure, Services, BFSI and e-Governance.
