Speaker Sumitra Singh announced the expulsion of Prahlad Gunjal and Surendra Singh Rathore(unattached from BJP), Attar Singh Bhadana(suspended BJP member) and Ranbir Singh Guda(LJP) after their ''peristent and unruly'' protests over the issue of Gujjar reservation which disrupted the normal proceedings of the House for the entire day forcing the Chair to impose as many as eight adjournments.
Unruly scenes of slogan raising, roughing and scuffling among members, throwing pen stands, snatching papers from the deputy Speaker and tearing a copy of a bill prevailed throughout the day.
Trouble started during the Question Hour when the four above members raised their issue. However, later during the Zero Hour, BD Kalla, CP Joshi and several other members of the Congress created pandemonium over the demand of seeking the resignation of Minister of State for Water Resources Surendra Singh Rathore in the wake of his conviction in a Mines Safety Act violation case.
Later, talking to reporters in her chamber, Speaker Sumitra Singh said this was for the first time in the history of the Rajasthan Assembly that the Chair was made a target of ''unruly behaviour'' by certain members.
