HDIL to invest Rs 2,000 crore for Kochi Cybercity

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 13 (UNI) The Mumbai-based Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) will invest Rs 2,000 crore for the HDIL Cybercity, a most advanced IT park at Kalamassery near Kochi, in Kerala.

HDIL Chairman Rakesh Kumar Wadhawan told newspersons here that the project, spread over an area of 70 acres with a built up area of 7.9 million sqft, would generate 65,000 new jobs.

He said of the 7.9 million sq ft, 5.4 million sq ft would be used for IT ventures and remaining for hotels, service apartments, shopping malls, club house, schools and residential structures.

The total investment in the Cybercity project by HDIL was estimated at Rs 2,000 crore.

The HDIL had already appointed world renowned architectural firm AEDAS as consultants for this prestigious project.
