Agartala, Sep 11 (UNI) The Student's Federation of India (SFI) and the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) have organised rallies and demonstrations all over Tripura to protest the ongoing joint naval exercise in the Bay of Bengal and the proposed Nuke deal with the US.

While the SFI, the student's wing of the Left, organised protest demonstrations in all the blocks of the state today, the DYFI, the youth wing of the party, and the tribal front Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) held a rally yesterday and announced to continue with the movement.

'' The UPA government is trying to bring the country under the US dominance by participating in the naval exercise in the Bay of Bengal. This is against the Common Minimum Programme, '' DYFI state secretary Tapas Datta here said.

The Left parties today launched a countrywide agitation against the joint naval exercise with the US in the Bay of Bengal. They also warned the government that they would stall any move to operationalise the Indo-US Nuke deal.
