Hyd Blast: Suspect's 'affair' with BSF jawan

Hyderabad, Sep 8: In a startling revelation, Bangladeshi woman Shafeera Rafsanjaani, a suspect in the twin blast case, has been found to having an affair with Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Anand.

Shafeera, an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, was arrested in the city a week ago for possessing false identification papers.

Sources from the Special Investigation Team (SIT), that is probing into the August 25 twin blasts which claimed 44 lives, said Shafeera allegedly had a relationship with Anand, when she was at Vellore in Tamil Nadu to pursue a degree course.

An album with photographs of both Safeera and Anand was seized from her. The duo had come to the city to meet her brother Ridwan Gazi, who was absconding since her arrest.

The sources said a local court had granted permissin to take Shafeera into police custody on September 10, for five days, as part of the SIT investigation, to elicit information about Anand and Gazi.

Gazi resembled the sketch released by the police about the suspect, who allegedly planted bomb at Lumbini park that killed 11 people, the sources said.
