JMM member Suman Mahato takes oath as LS member

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) Mrs Suman Mahato of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today took oath as member of the Lok Sabha.

The oath was administered by Speaker Somnath Chatterjee as soon as the House met for the day.

Mrs Mahato, wife of slain JMM MP Sunil Mahato, won from Jamshedpur in the recent bypoll.

She had defeated her nearest rival Dr Dinesh Sarangi of the BJP by a margin of 58,816 votes.

The JMM is part of the ruling UPA Government.
