XL Telecom and Energy earns Rs5.23 billion revenue

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) XL Telecom and Energy Limited, with focus in Telecom and Energy sectors, reported a revenue of Rs 5.23 billion for the year ending June 30, 2007 and a net profit of Rs 201.77 million for the same period.

The Telecom segment contributed Rs 4,318 millions while Energy segment contributed about Rs 913.03 million out of the total gross revenues, according to a press release here today.

The company had achieved a revenue growth of 32.53 percent over the previous year revenues of Rs 3954.06 million.

The company's net profit for the year was Rs 201.77 million, compared to the previous year's net profit of Rs 106.72 million, registering an impressive growth of 89.07 percent.

The company had orders of over Rs 3 billion in Ethanol Division for supplies to be effected till 2010 and Rs 480 million in Telecom Division and Rs 2.2 billion in Solar Division for export of modules, the release added.

Tourists from 5 ASEAN countries on trip to Bihar

Patna, Sep 3 (UNI) A tourist delegation of 125 members from five ASEAN countries--Combodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Mynmar--will arrive here on September 5 to boost religious tourism in Buddhist nations.
