Woman run over by Blueline bus, dies

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Killer Blueline buses today claimed another victim when a woman was run over by a bus in South Delhi.

Meena (35) was run over by Blueline bus operating on route no 588 between Tilak Nagar and Nehru Place, while she was getting down from the bus at Motibagh at around 1000 hours, police said.

Meena died on the spot. The driver, however, fled with the bus, police said.

Dacoity in Adarsh nagar house,armed robbers flee with 20 'tola' gold

New Delhi, Sept 3 (UNI) Six armed youth looted 20 'tola' gold and Rs 65,000 in cash from a house at Adarsh Nagar in north Delhi this morning, police said. At about 0225 hrs, five to six youth armed with knives and pistols enterd the house located at D 13 Adarsh Nagar house and looted gold and cash. Police is on the lookout for the criminals. UNI.....

Rail services on Ballia-Chhapra route hit as goods train overturns

Ballia, Sep 3 (UNI) Four wagons of a goods train today went off the track during shunting operations at Ballia railway station, disrupting rail traffic on the Ballia-Chhapra segment. According to railway sources, at around 2015 hrs, four wagons of a goods train went off the rails during shunting due to a technical fault. Due to the accident, several trains, coming from the Chhapra side, had to be halted enroute. No casualty was reported in the incident, the sources said, adding.....

UPA Govt not providing enough rice to Karnataka: CM

Mysore, Sep 3 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today alleged that the UPA Government was not providing the state with enough rice for distribution to people below the poverty line. Speaking at Hunsur, near here, he said the state was facing severe shortage of rice for supply to public distribution system due to the attitude of the Centre which was not providing the state with enough stock.
