Two IAS officers transferred in HP

Shimla, Sep 3 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today ordered the transfer of two IAS officers in the state with immediate effect, official sources said.

HPMC's Managing Director Ashwani Kumar Kapoor, who is also holding the additional charge of the post of Managing Director of the HP Agro Packaging India, has been posted as Kangra Deputy Commissioner in place of Bharat Harbans Lal Khera, the sources said.

The sources said Mr Khera has been appointed HPMC's MD and would also hold the additional charge of the post of HP Agro Packaging India's MD.

Rs 1795.80 cr spent in Vidarbha from PM's package

Mumbai, Sept 3 (UNI) An amount of Rs 1795.80 cr had so far been spent so far in the six districts of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra from the Prime Minister's special rehabilitation package, announced last year for the uplift of the farmers. Lt Governor directs stringent action against power theft

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Taking cognizance of the power thefts in domestic as well as industrial premises in certain localities of the capital, Delhi Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna today directed the authorities concerned to take stringent action against such thefts. Three more members of an inter-state gang arrested

Karkala, Karnataka, Sep 3 (UNI) Three more members of an inter-State gang involved various crimes in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka were arrested today. Police had arrested six members of the same gang on August 23. According to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Labooram during the interrogation of the arrested earlier police have recovered six four wheelers, two motor bikes, and 101 sandalwood logs besides lethal weapons total worth over Rs 22 lakh.
