Tourists from 5 ASEAN countries on trip to Bihar

Patna, Sep 3 (UNI) A tourist delegation of 125 members from five ASEAN countries--Combodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Mynmar--will arrive here on September 5 to boost religious tourism in Buddhist nations.

According to an official release the trip was finalised in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.

The delegation will visit all tourist spots of Buddhist circuit including Patna, Vaishali and Gaya districts in Bihar.

The delegation will consist of ministers, high profile officers, VIPs and people from media of respective ASEAN countries.

IOC plans to sell oil bonds worth Rs 1,500-2,000 cr

New Delhi, Sept 3 (UNI) State-run Indian Oil Corporation Ltd today said it plans to sell oil bonds worth Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 crore to offset losses incurred due to the skyrocketing international crude oil prices in October. Punjab sanctions Rs 31 crore subsidy under Kanak-Dal scheme

Chandigarh, Sep 3 (UNI) The Punjab government today sanctioned Rs 31.25 crore as subsidy to Food and Supply Department for providing 'Kanak' (Wheat) and 'Dal' (Pulses) to 14 lakh Bluecard beneficiaries under Kanak-Dal Scheme at subsidised rate for the month of August. 4 more killed in rain-related incidents in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Sep 3 (UNI) Four more lives were lost in separate rain-related incidents in Rajasthan in the past 24 hours, taking the toll in the current monsoon season in the state to 59. According to police sources, two people, including a woman, were washed away in a flash flood at a picnic spot at Bhanwar Kunj on Chambal river in Kota yesterday. While the body of the woman was fished out from the river, the search was on for the body.....
