Moderate rains in 30 talukas of Guj

Gandhinagar, Sep 3 (UNI) Moderate rainfall was recorded in 30 talukas of Gujarat in the past 24 hours with Dhari in Amreli receiving 50 mm of rainfall and Chotila in Surendranagar receiving 46 mm of rainfall.

According to the Emergency Response Centre of the State Government, more than two inches of rainfall was recorded in two talukas, more than one inch of rainfall was recorded in 10 talukas, more than half inch of rainfall was recorded in 18 talukas of the state while nine districts of Ahmedabad, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Kachch, Narmada, Panchmahal, Surat and Vadodara remained dry.

One hundred and two reservoirs in Gujarat including 20 in central Gujarat, four in Kachch region and 38 in Saurashtra region have been overflowing following rains. State Flood Control has issued high alert to 133 reservoirs filled up to 90 to 100 per cent, 16 reservoirs filled up to 80 to 90 per cent and 11 reservoirs filled up to 70 to 80 per cent.

Pathanamthitta, Sep 3 (UNI) The Ashtamirohini Valla Sadya, an annual ritualistic mass feast, jointly organised by Palliyoda Seva Sanghom (PSS) and Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) was held at Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple today with traditional gaiety and devotional fervour. BOR declares 20 pc dividend

Mumbai, Sep 3 (UNI) Private lender Bank of Rajasthan Limited (BOR) has said it would disburse 20 per cent dividend to shareholders. The decision was taken in its annual general meeting held today, said a statement. BOR had registered a net profit of Rs 110.57 crore for the year ended March 31 as against Rs 15.25 crore in the previous year, while the profit for quarter ended June stood at Rs 30.17 crore as compared to Rs 20.04 crore of the.....
