KVC(J) to stage dharna on September 5

Kottayam, Sep 3 (UNI) Kerala Vanitha Congress (Jacob) State President Jessy Peter demanded that State Health Minister P K Sreemathy be sacked from the Cabinet in view of the revelation of Kiliroor sex case victim Sari's father that Ms Sreemathy was the VIP, who visited Sari in the hospital.

Talking to newspersons here today she urged the Chief Minister V S Achutanandan to take legal action against the minister.

She also criticised the Government for not taking steps to control the Chikungunya epidemic and not distributing compensation to those who died of the epidemic.

In support of the demand and against the misrule of the LDF Government, the Vanitha Congress (Jacob) would stage a dharna before the Collectorate here on September five, she added.

Khanduri hints at crackdown on N D Tiwari govt's scams

New Delhi, Sept 3 (UNI) A day after winning the Dhumakot assembly bypoll, Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri today hinted that within a week a crackdown would be launched to expose the scams committed during the ''corrupt'' Congress regime in the state. Kashmir Working Group on Centre-State relations concludes meet

New Delhi, Sept 3 (UNI) The two-day meeting of the Kashmir Working Group on Centre-State relations, under the chairmanship of Justice Saghir Ahmad, concluded here today.
