India Semiconductor Association sign Mou with Taiwan counterpart

Bangalore, Sep 3 (UNI) The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor driven industry today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) to develop business ties and exchanges of semiconductor companies in two countries.

The MoU was signed by Mr. S. Janakiraman, Chairman , India Semiconductor Association and Dr Frank C Huang, Chairman, Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association in Taiwan today.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Janakiraman the two organistions would cooperate in activities including foreign of partnerships and promoting semicon sector in international exhibitions and seminars.

Mr Huang, reiterating said ''We see immense potential for successful partnerships between our member companies. Both countries have inherent strengths in this field and industry can definitely forge a winning partnership''.

ISA President Poornima Senoy said the key objective of the MoU was to foster business relationship among member companies. ''Our two associations may represent each other on various issues to promote the interest of the semiconductor industries in our countries with prior consultation and agreement to such representation'' she added.

HC directs Ramadoss to sign degrees

New Delhi, Sep 3: In a setback to Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss, the Delhi High Court today directed him to sign the degrees issued to 49 MBBS scholars of All India India Institute of Medical Sciences which the Minister had held ''invalid''. Girl jumps into river Jhelum, body of boy recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 3 (UNI) A girl jumped into the Jhelum river while the body of a boy was recovered in the Kashmir valley today, official sources said. The Body of a ninth class student Hilal Ahmad Ganie was recovered from an orchard at village Saidpora in Shopian district. BCU seeks filling up of vacant posts in High Court

Dehra Dun, Sept 3 (UNI) The Uttarakhand Bar Council today demanded the filling of vacant posts of High Court Judges in the state. Council Vice-chairman M M Lamba said there was a provision of 15 judges in the state High Court but at present only nine were available. ''We demand that the vacancy be filled by the appointment of senior lawyers practising in district courts who are of Uttarakhand origin,'' he told reporters here. Mr Lamba also advocated that.....
