Five killed, 10 injured as bus falls into gorge

Hazaribagh, Sep 3 (UNI) Five people were killed and ten injured when a passenger bus fell into a twenty-feet deep gorge at Hathia Baba Ghati under Chouparan police station in this district of Jharkhand today.

Police said while four persons died on the spot, one succumbed to injuries on way to hospital. The injured had been rushed to the Sadar hospital.

Three of the deceased belonged to Chatra district of Jharkhand and one to Patna in Bihar.

The bus was on way to Bihar's Aurangabad district.

4 more killed in rain-related incidents in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Sep 3 (UNI) Four more lives were lost in separate rain-related incidents in Rajasthan in the past 24 hours, taking the toll in the current monsoon season in the state to 59. According to police sources, two people, including a woman, were washed away in a flash flood at a picnic spot at Bhanwar Kunj on Chambal river in Kota yesterday. While the body of the woman was fished out from the river, the search was on for the body.....

Sugar prices rally on festival demand

Navi Mumbai, Sep 3 (UNI) Prices of sugar today rallied on fresh seasonal bulk consumers demand in the face of lesser stocks, traders at the wholesale sugar market said. Sugar in small and medium grades (per quintal) rose by Rs ten and Rs 20 respectively on heavy festival demand by bulk consumers and retailers.
