C Radhakrishnan conferred 'Padmaprabha Puraskaram'

Kalpatta, Sep 3 (UNI) Eminent Novelist C Radhakrishnan has been chosen for this year's 'Padmaprabha Puraskaram' for his outstanding contribution to Malayalam literature.

A committee comprising writers P Valsala, Unnikrishnan Puthur and media personality T N Gopakumar selected Mr Radhakrishnan for the prestigious award instituted by the Padmaprabha Memorial Trust, its Chairman M P Veerendrakumar MP said in a release here today.

The Award carried a cash price of Rs 55,000, plaque and a citation.

Bhopal, Sep 3 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Excise Minister Babulal Gaur today disclosed that some of the so-called BJP dissidents had approached him to form a ''separate group'' within the ruling party to ''protect their interests.''
