BJYM protests JK Govt's hospitality to Dutt

Jaipur, Sep 3: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today held a demonstration to protest the hospitality extended by the Jammu and Kashmir Government to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt during his visit to Jammu.

Talking to reporters here Morcha national president Amit Thaker said Dutt was a convict in a serious case and it was inappropriate on the part of the Ghulam Nabi Azad Government to accord him hospitality on a par with a state guest.

He said his organisation held the demonstration and burnt effigies to show its protest against the state government's attitude.

Mr Thaker was in town to take stock of organisational preparations for the morcha's national convention, slated to be held here between September 28 and 30.

Sanjay Dutt seeks more time to surrender

Mumbai, Dec 18: A day before expiry of the deadline set by TADA court for film star Sanjay Dutt to surrender following his conviction in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case, the actor today moved the court for extending it till an unspecified period. The application seeking extension has been listed for hearing tomorrow and Dutt is expected to be present in the court of designated judge Pramod Kode, who had pronounced him guilty under the Arms Act on November 30.
