Apeejay Tea board to meet tomorrow to consider delisting

New Delhi, Sept 3 (UNI) Apeejay Tea Ltd today said its board will meet tomorrow to consider the the promoters decision to delist its shares from the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd (BSE).

The company today said in a statement that the promoters of the company - UK-based Assam Tea Frontiers Ltd, Mr Karan Paul, Shirin Paul and Priya Paul had on September 3, 2007 intended to delist its shares.

The promoters and Apeejay House Pvt Ltd will make an offer to acquire the shares in the delisting offer, the statement added.

Monsoon was vigorous over South Interior Karnataka and active over Coastal Karnataka Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Kumta recorded very heavy rainfall of 13 cm. Bihar: Notorious smugglers arrested in Munger

Munger, Sep 3: Police have arrested four notorious smugglers from a hotel under Kotwali police station in the district here today. Acting on a tip-off, local police raided a hotel in the city and arrested the smugglers, suspected to be belonging to an interstate gang, police sources here informed and added that nine country-made pistols and several live cartridges were recovered from their possession. Intensive interrogation was on to identify the smuggling nexus of the arrested outlawed, sources also said. UNI.....

Bihar: Flood victims paralyse train movement

Saharsa, Sep 3: Protesting against the delay and discrimination in relief distribution, flood victims today staged a dharna and paralysed movement of trains on the Saharsa-Mansi rail section in East Central railway. Railway sources here said the flood victims, supported by the CPI(M), staged dharna on railway tracks at Simri Bakhtiyarpur station and held up the 5209 Saharsa-Amritsar Janseva express for nearly three hours. Movement of other local trains were also disrupted. The agitators were protesting against the 'failure' of the administration.....
