Accountant in dock for misappropriation

Jamnagar, Sep 3 (UNI) A criminal complaint has been filed against an accountant of a local firm with the Okha police station for the alleged misappropriation of Rs 22 lakh.

The complaint was filed by Patik Bhupendra Patel yesterday, who runs a partnership firm 'Swastik' at Suraj-Kardi village, about 20 km from Dwaraka. Mr Patel's partners are abroad.

The accountant, Vipul Charesh Thakkar, a resident of Dwarka, had withdrawn Rs 21.93 lakh without authorisation between June 28 last year and May 21 this year from the State Bank of India's (SBI) branch at Suraj-Kardi.

The Okha police have registered a complaint under section 408 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

CM ask RTC to increase buses for MMTS connectivity

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked the APSRTC to increase bus connectivity at all MMTS Stations as needed even if it was not found profitable in the initial days. The Chief Minister also asked the South Central Railway to start issuing combined tickets for MMTS and city buses within 15 days. NWKSRTC planning ex-gratia for employees

Sirsi, Karnataka, Sep 3 (UNI) North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) President Ashok Katwe today said the state government is contemplating ex-gratia for its 24,000 employees. List of repartriates from Telangana by month end: Minister

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Minister D Srinivas today said the list of employees to be repatriated from the Telangana Region under GO 610, which provides for jobs to locals, will be ready by month end.
