1 killed, 5 injured in south Kashmir blast

Srinagar, Sep 3 (UNI) One person was killed and five others were wounded when an unexploded shell of 21 Field Ordinance depot went off at Khandroo this afternoon.

Official sources said the unexploded shell in the compound of a villager, identified as Ama, went off killing one person and injuring five others.

Hundreds of unexploded shells were recently detected and defused by over one hundred members of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) in about fifteen villages around the ordnance depot at Khandroo which was gutted in a devastating fire causing thousands of blasts on August 11.

The villages were recently declare safe for the return of thousands of villagers who migrated from their houses after the fire in which 22, including an army major and 15 fire fighters were killed and scores Wounded.

23 people killed in road accidents in AP

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) As many as 23 people including a police official were killed and 19 injured in five separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today. Record hundi collection at Tirumala

Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 3 (UNI)For the first time in its history, the Sri Venkateswara Temple here netted Rs 2.20 crore in hundi collection in a single day today.
