Tata may go for some more acquisitions

Mumbai, Aug 30: India's steel major Tata Steel today hinted that it was open for some more acquisitions post-Corus deal.

''We may go for more aquisitions, however, it is subjected to our business requirements. We will undertake acquisitions as and when make sense,'' Chairman of the Tata Steel Ratan Tata today said when a query was posed to him from one of the shareholders during the company's 100th Annual General Meet held here.

Stating that the company's share prices have gone up by 20 per cent year-on-year basis for the past 10 years post-acquisition, Tata said the combined production of the company has touched 26 million tonne, which has made it the sixth largest steel producer in the world.

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'

Islamabad, Dec 5: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's Adviser on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, has that India has only sought 3 terrorist suspects and not 20 as has been reported by the media.He also said that the list submitted by the Indian Government does not include the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the head of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is being accused of masterminding last week's Mumbai terror attacks  that claimed nearly 200 lives and caused injuries to nearly.....
