Villagers unhappy over curtailment of CM tour

Kannalli, Gulbarga, Aug 21(UNI) The people of this remote village today expressed disappointment as they did not get a chance to express their woes to Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy who spent a night in the village and left for Bangalore suddenly to attend the Swearing in ceremony of new Governor, Rameshwar Thakur.

Mr Kumaraswamy who arrived just before midnight spent the night in a villager's house and left for Bangalore in the morning cancelling his visit to other parts of Gulbarga district.

A festive look appeared in the village as the villagers looked delighted to receive VVIPs accompanying the Chief Minister and expected him to solve problems the village faced.

Several elders in the village expressed unhappiness over the curtailment of the programmes at the village by the Chief Minister.

They said thay missed the opportunity to go round the village to explain their problems as Mr Kumarswamy left the village early in the morning for Bangalore.

The Chief Minister was to take part in several programmes at the village, Jewargi and Aland in the district during the day, today.

However he had to rush back to Bangalore in view of the swearning in ceremony of the new Governor, Mr Rameshwar Thakur.
