Silver, gold ease on bearish global advice

Mumbai, Aug 21: Silver and Gold today closed lower by Rs 120 per kg and Rs 15 ten gm respectively, mainly on discouraging advice from global markets coupled with poor ornament makers demand, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 16,940 (17,060), Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,800 (8,815) Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,850 (8,865).
