Jaffer to miss Karachi Urban following knee injury

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) Indian Test opener Wasim Jaffer has been ruled out of Mumbai's match against Pakistan national champions' Karachi Urban to be held in Pakistan port city due to a knee injury.

Jaffer (29), who had been named captain of the Mumbai team for the annual four-day Mohammad Nasser Trophy beginning from September 8, has been advised to take six weeks rest but is expected to be fit for the home Test series against Pakistan starting November 22, Mumbai Cricket Association sources told UNI here today.

The Mohammad Nasser Trophy is contested by the national champions of India and Pakistan.
