India field first v England after winning toss

LONDON, Aug 21 (Reuters) India won the toss and elected to field first in the opening one-day international against England at Hampshire's Rose Bowl, today.

India, who won the Test series 1-0, gave a place to leg spinner Piyush Chawla, while England welcomed back former skipper Andrew Flintoff.

Teams: England: Alastair Cook, Paul Collingwood (capt), Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Andrew Flintoff, Matthew Prior, Stuart Broad, Monty Panesar, James Anderson, Dimitri Mascarenhas.

India: Dinesh Karthik, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid (capt), Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Dhoni, Piyush Chawla, Ajit Agarkar, Rudra Pratap Singh, Zaheer Khan.
