AP approves Rs 3.65 cr for stepping up CM security

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today approved the State Police chief's proposal to step up security for Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at a cost of Rs 3.65 crore per annum.

In a post-cabinet briefing here, Information Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy said assessing the threat perception, the State Director General of Police had proposed a security cover with 338 police personnel of various ranks and the Cabinet approved the same.

The 338 personnel who would provide security to the Chief Minister included Two Additional Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police and 244 constables, he added.

Cabinet approves 49 crore for 11th Plan

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 24: The Kerala Government today approved an outlay of Rs 49,421 crore for the Eleventh Plan and Rs 6,950 crore as outlay for the 2007-2008 annual plan, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told after a Cabinet meeting.He said the state's outlay for the Tenth Plan was Rs 24,000 crore.The Cabinet also decided to exempt tea, coffee and cardamom plantations from taxation for one year taking into consideration the crisis in the plantation industry.Mr Achuthanandan.....
