MP: Is ''Lalu Bhaiyya'' listening?

Barwani, MP, Aug 19: As many as 250 girls studying at a local private school have sent rakhis to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and demanded rail facilities in return! ''A campaign has been initiated for sending 25,000 rakhis in support of a demand for laying a line from Gujarat's Dahod to Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa,'' Sarvadalia Rail Lao Sangharsh Samiti Convenor and former municipal council Chairman Omprakash Jain said yesterday.

Under the campaign, inspired by Digambar Jain Upadhyay Gupti Sagar Maharaj, 250 students of the Harsukh Digambar English Medium School sent the rakhis yesterday to their ''Lalu Bhaiyya''.

MP: Deputy Registrar of Coop jailed for bribe

Bhopal, May 22: A special court of Jabalpur has sentenced Deputy Registrar of Cooperatives Narayanlal Tandon to three years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 for taking bribe. According to official sources, Tandon was caught red-handed by the Lokayukta officials on October 2, 2000 while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from complainant Vinod Kumar Duggal of Jabalpur. The Deputy Registrar had demanded bribe of total Rs 25,000 for the dissolution.....
