labourer crushed to death

Jammu, Aug 12 (UNI) A labourer working with Border Road Organisation (BRO) was crushed to death by a truck of his own unit at Shajroo in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir last evening, police said here today.

Identified as Abdul Gaffor resident of Shajroo, the labourer was crushed to death by a BEACON truck when he was working at Shajroo road stretch Krud area of Darmari.

He was hit from behind by the vehicle after the driver last come put of the vehicle while unloading some material, sources said adding, the victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition where doctors declared him brought dead.

Bangalore, Dec 22: Defence Minister A K Antony today ruled out withdrawl of armed troops from the Siachen border keeping in view the growing irritants in the region.
