Indian Bank targets Rs One lakh crore business this fiscal

Puducherry, Aug 12 (UNI) The Indian Bank is targeting a business of Rs One lakh crore by end of this fiscal, Indian Bank Executive Director A Subramanian has said.

Speaking at the centenary celebrations of the Bank here last evening, Mr Subramanian said the bank had registered a record net profit of Rs 759.77 crore and a capital adequacy ratio of 14:14 during centenary year.

He said of the 1477 branches, 1171 were covered under core banking solutions.

The bank had deposits to the tune of Rs 50,000 crore and advances at Rs 32,000 crore, he added.

London, Feb 18 (ANI): A new study suggests that vaccines, which specifically target HIV in the initial stages of infection before it becomes a rapidly replicating, system-wide infection, may be a successful approach in limiting the spread of the disease.Researchers at Oregon Health and Science University's Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute used a vaccination method that involves creating and maintaining resistance by programming a portion of the body's immune system - effector memory T-cells - to look out for.....
