Criminal arrested after police encounter

Gonda, Aug 12 (UNI) Police today arrested a criminal after an encounter in Tarabganj area here.

''Three motorcycle-borne miscreants were intercepted under Tarabganj area. While, two escaped, one was nabbed,'' Police Superintendent Narendra Kumar Srivastava said.

A country made pistol, a large number of cartridges, sim cards and Rs 25,000 in cash were recovered from his possession.
