PM won't resign on Nuke deal: Dasmunsi

New Delhi, Aug 10: Dispelling reports about the Prime Minister threatening to resign if the Left Parties made an issue of the 123 agreement in the Indo-US nuclear deal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi today said Dr Manmohan Singh would complete his full term.

''Our Prime Minister will complete his full term. It will be a very successful term. The Prime Minister is firm to deliver as the Prime Minister till the last day,'' Mr Dasmunsi told reporters when asked about the government's reaction to the news report.

Mr Dasmunsi said he could not say anything about the source of these media reports.

However, in view of the demand of the Left Parties, the Prime Minister himself would make a suo-motu statement on the agreement on August 13. External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has cancelled his foreign trip and the government was ready to have a detailed discussion on the issue on August 14 itself if the Speaker and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha so desired, he said.
