Two IIM-Indore students drown in MP

Indore, Aug 5: Two students of Indian Institute of Management, (Indore) were swept away in local Choral river,20 kms from here while swimming yesterday evening.

Army divers from Mhow and Fire Brigade team have been trying to search for them. One Mitesh Agrawal is from New Delhi and the other Neha Singh is from Hyderabad. Police sources said a group of IIM students came here for a picnic and the two were drowned while swimming. A case has been registered at Simrol police station.

On Thursday, two students of a private dental college drowned in the river. Their bodies were recovered the next day.

MP: NCC shooting node in Indore

Indore, May 16: A NCC shooting node will come up here for preparing NCC cadets for national and international-level shooting championships. NCC Director General Lt Gen Prakash S Choudhary told reporters here yesterday that the NCC provided army and sports training to its cadets and prepared them for taking up careers in defence. However, it also provided career counselling for cadets who wanted to take up other options. Mr Choudhary said.....

Foodgrain portrait of President Kalam

Indore, July 24: Students of Fine Arts stream in Indore's IPS Academy have bid farewell to President A P J Abdul Kalam by preparing his portrait with foodgrains. The 1,188 sq feet size-portrait of Dr Kalam, who is retiring tomorrow, was prepared by 28 students, who began preparing it on July 22 at 1000 hours and completed it within 20 hours at 0600 hours the next day. It took four quintal grains.....
