TCS to build management system for Geneva-based IOM

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (UNI) IT major Tata Consultancy Services will build and implement an integrated financial management solution for Geneva-based International Organisation for Migration(IOM) with 120 member states.

In a two-year engagement starting January 2008, TCS would implement a comprehensive system for IOM with 32 offices world-wide to provide global solution for a range of functions including accounting, budgeting, donar relations, treasury, funds grants management and donar reporting, among others, TCS Executive Vice-President and Global Sales and Operations head N Chandrasekaran told reporters here.

''We have a vast array of financial responsibilities towards our donors and other stakeholders. As such, a key priority is to ensure that our financial operations are running smoothly and efficiently and that we remain cost-effective. We are confident that TCS' expertise and experience will help us realise this objective'' IOM Director General Brunson Mc Kinley said.

Silver closes higher, Gold down

Mumbai, Aug 3 (UNI) Prices of Groundnut, Palmolein and Sunflower oils remained steady today on moderate consumers demand and sufficient stocks, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) said. Business volume was restricted due to very thin attendence of traders because of heavy rainfall in the entire city and suburbs since last night, traders added. Call money ends at 2.50 percent

Mumbai, Aug 3 (UNI) Call money rates today ended at 2.50 percent as compared to the previous close of 0.10 percent. It opened at 3.00 percent in morning and hovered around these margins during most part of the day. Dealers see a sharp rise in call value next week as the hiked CRR rate was expected to drain out the excess money in the system. UNI.....
