Sugar prices steady in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Aug 3 (UNI) Prices of M 30 and S 30 grades of sugar remained steady at Rs 1235/1240 and Rs 1225/1230 per quintal respectively.

There was no trading in the Kolhapur gur market and Sangli turmeric futures market today, while turmeric spot rate eased by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 2,225 per quintal.

Islamabad, Aug 3 (UNI) Pakistan's Supreme Court today ordered release of a top opposition leader and vice President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, who was serving 23 year jail term for defaming the armed forces. Dhaka, Aug 3 (UNI) Eleven more flood-related deaths were reported today raising the toll to 65 as the current flood situation worsened in central parts of Bangladesh with swelling of major rivers, officials said.
