Punjab minister criticises Dasmunsi on Sanjay Dutt case

Chandigarh, Aug 3 (UNI) Punjab Medical Education and Research Minister Tikshan Sud today criticised Union Information and Broadcasting Minister P R Dasmunsi for ''denigrating the judiciary'' by raising ''a question mark on the judgement of the TADA Court in the case of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt''.

In a statement issued here, Mr Sud, a BJP member said that by questioning the judgement of the Court, Mr Dasmunsi had tried to evoke public opinion against the judicial system of the country. He claimed that the Congress was trying to distance itself from the statement of Mr Dasmunsi but he was repeatedly claiming that it stood by his statement.

He said this implied that the minister was issuing the statement of on behalf of Union Cabinet. He asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to sack Mr Dasmunsi from the Cabinet.

Mr Sud said on the question of security of the country and terrorist attacks, emotions should not be allowed to prevail.

Volatile market forces Purvankara extend IPO to Aug 8

Bangalore, Aug 3 (UNI) A volatile capital market has forced Realtor Puravankara Projects Limited to downsize the issue price and extend the closing date to August 8.
