Mega Block on CR on Sunday

Mumbai, Aug 3 (UNI) Central Railway will operate a mega block on its suburban sections for carrying out maintenance work on Sunday.

The block will remain effective on both up and down Harbour line between Vashi and Kurla stations between 1115 hrs and 1615 hrs.

In the wake of the block, suburban rail traffic between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Panvel will remain cancelled from 0950 hrs to 1540 hrs in the both the directions, a CR official release said today.

However, special locals will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Panvel-Vashi-Panvel sections at a frequency of around 20 to 25 minutes on the Harbour line during the block period.

However, Harbour line services on Bandra-Andheri section will run as per schedule.

On the main line also, the block will be between Mulund and Vidyavihar stations from 1100hrs to 1630 hrs.

As a result, all up fast line services leaving Thane from 1050 hrs to 1623 hrs will be diverted on up slow line between Mulund and Matunga stations, halting at all stations between Mulund and Sion, from where the service will be diverted to up fast line. UNI
