Low pressure to bring rains to AP

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (UNI) Parts of Andhra Pradesh may get more rainfall as a low pressure area is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal by tomorrow.

Under its influence, enhanced rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall was likely over north coastal Andhra Pradesh from August four to seven.

Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Hyderabad would witness generally cloudy sky. Rain or thundershowers were likely in parts of the city.

Rain occurred at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours. Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Koida recorded a heavy rainfall of 10 cm, followed by Adilabad 9, Bhadrachalam 8, Kunavaram and Polavaram 7 each, Karimnagar 6, Perur 5, Palakonda 4, Ramagundam, Prathipadu and Rayachoty 3 each.

Naveen rules out enhancement of retirement age for employees

Tata Steel acquires 35% in Riversdale's coal project for Rs 345 cr

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) Tata Steel Ltd today said it has acquired 35 per cent stake in Australia-based Riversdale's coal project for Rs 345 crore.
