Indian Cricket coach likely to be finalised in a month's time: Pawar

Bangalore, Aug 3 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India will finalise the new coach for team India in a month's time BCCI President Sharad Pawar indicated here today.

He told newsmen at the Karnataka State Cricket Association here, that Board had written to Australian Cricketers Association and Cricket Boards in New Zealand, England and West Indies requesting them to propose some prospective candidatess for the assignment.

''We are expecting responses soon. The Coach Selection Committee then will take a decision. It is likely that this job will be finished in one month's time'' he added.

On the unsavoury incident of a spat between Zaheer Khan and England batsman Kevin Peterson, during just concluded the second test on the alleged incident of throwing of fruit jelly beans while the Indian was batting, Mr Pawar said, "it was better if the incident is forgotten by both teams. However, ICC has called for a meeting in this regard on August six in Dubai. It is left to the ICC to do what it thinks is right," he said.

PUCL leader charge-sheeted

Naxals cut youth's body into pieces

Ambikapur, Aug 3 (UNI) Armed naxalites killed a youth and cut his body into pieces before throwing them on the Bihapur-Odgi road near Magarlod village, about 100 Kms from here, late last night. Police said about 40 armed naxalites stormed the house of 26 year old Rajesh Tiwari, son of Anjani Tiwari, and dragged him out of the house and attacked with sharp edged weapons. Agitators block NH over killing

Chatra, Aug 3 (UNI) Protesting the killing of a local youth, villagers here today blocked NH 99 and 100 connecting Bihar's Gaya district with Jharkhand's Hazaribagh for about three hours. Police sources said the body of one Ramkhelawan Keshri(35), who was killed last night, was recovered today near Mahua forest area here.
