ICCI group to set up regional hub in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, Aug 3 (UNI) ICICI Group will set up a regional hub near infocity in Gandhinagar to accomodate existing employees along with additional recruits for ICICI Bank and its group companies.

An ICICI Bank release here today said, the step is being initiated as the Gujrat government is in the process of developing infocity here to house major IT companies.

The new office space would house around 10,000 employees in the first phase and around 25,000 employees on completion of the project. The project is to start immediately and would be implemented over a span of five years.

The key objective behind developing the 17-acre plot was to create a business hub for ICICI Group in Gujarat for various operations keeping in mind the favourable economics of the region.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi performed a ''bhoomi pujan'' for the regional hub of ICICI group in the presence of Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank K V Kamath today, the release added.

Nalco to enter agreement with Coal India, Railways

Angul, Aug 3 (UNI) Perturbed over short supply of coal from the Public Sector Mahanadi Coal Limited(MCL),the National Aluminium Company(NALCO)is contemplating to enter an agreement soon with Railway and Coal India to tide over the coal crisis. Death toll due to Gastroenterties rises to two

Gulbarga, Aug 3 (UNI) The death toll due to gastroenterties in Kakere Village in the District has risen to two today with the death of a Gram Panchayat member. The condition of seven persons was said to be critical. As many as 250 people developed vomiting sensation on August One due to drinking of contaminated water.
